This privacy policy applies to DrawEdge (drawedge.ca), HuntersEdge (huntersedge.ca), and AnglersEdge (angleredge.ca) — collectively the "Edge Ecosystem" or "Services". These services are operated by DrawEdge Ontario ("we", "us", "our").

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Subscription information: If you subscribe to a Pro plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and Stripe customer ID but never your credit card number or payment details.

Usage data: We may collect basic usage information such as which features you access and when. This is used to improve our services.

Location data: The "Detect My FMZ" and map features may request your device location. This is processed entirely in your browser and is never stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain your account and subscription
• To deliver hunting and fishing regulation data
• To improve our services and fix bugs
• To send important account notifications (e.g., subscription changes)

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Cloudflare infrastructure (Workers, D1 database, and KV storage). All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information.

4. Local Storage and Caching

Our apps use browser localStorage to remember your preferences (e.g., saved WMUs, selected zones) and authentication state. As Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), we use service workers to cache regulation data for offline access. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

5. Third-Party Services

• Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare: Hosting and infrastructure. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts: Font delivery. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties
• We do not use advertising trackers or analytics services
• We do not collect or store your GPS coordinates on our servers
• We do not share your data with hunting or fishing authorities

7. Data Source Attribution

Hunting and fishing regulation data is sourced from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) under the Open Government Licence — Ontario. DrawEdge Ontario is not affiliated with the MNRF or the Government of Ontario. Always verify regulations with official sources before hunting or fishing.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, we will remove your email, subscription data, and saved preferences from our systems.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
